A Note for the Recovering People Pleaser

A Note for the Recovering People Pleaser

Woke up on one today lol. Had this incredible message pouring out of my heart after meditation this morning....I just had to share.

Too often we put the voices, opinions, and input of others above our own...

To guide us.

To heal us.

To believe in us.

To critique us.

This is something as a recovering people pleaser, is really frickin hard for me...

but the moment I stop giving a f about what "they" say or think,

are always moments of real clarity for me.

I don't know about you, but it's exhausting listening to all the external noise when you start to understand the answers you seek are already within yourself.

Like for real. All those posts, reels, videos, articles, etc you keep in your face are simply distractions from the REAL work.

It's so noisy out there.

Be this, be that. Do this, not that.

Do nothing. Do something. But what?

WHAT IF YOU PUSHED THE MUTE BUTTON AND STARTED LISTENING TO YOURSELF?

Truth is...no one knows better what you need, but YOU.

You must quiet the noise enough to hear it. Then, you have to believe it.

Don’t be afraid to seek your own wisdom…to look within yourself, to go to that quiet place where your voice is the only one you hear.

It truly knows the way.

You have to learn to trust yourself.

Which I KNOW is scary AF. And really hard at first.

Then it feels fucking amazing.

You already know what you need.

Trust yourself enough to do it...and to say NO to anything that is not that.

This is the hardest part of growth.

But is waiting and living for someone else, really any easier?

At least you'll know you lived for yourself, your heart and your dreams.

Quiet the noise.

Lean in to those that love you.

Share your vision.

Believe in yourself.

LET GO OF THE NOTION YOU HAVE TO PLEASE ANYONE BUT YOUR MF SELF.

We've wasted enough time already...
